Becky and James' wedding at The Old Hall Ely was everything we love about this Cambridgeshire venue—elegant, personal, full of fun, and wrapped in golden light. From emotional prep moments to confetti under the flower arch and dancing to ABBA, their day was full of real joy and relaxed vibes. Bridal Details & Prep

We started the day with Becky and her bridesmaids, capturing details like the dress, accessories, and a few calm moments before the excitement kicked off. The girls were so relaxed and natural in front of the camera, which always sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Groom Prep

Meanwhile, James and the guys kept things chilled and full of banter. We grabbed a few fun prep shots indoors before heading outside for some relaxed shots of James and his groomsmen, all suited up and ready to go.

Final Bridal Moments & Family

Back with Becky, we captured the final touches and a few special family moments before heading down for the ceremony. One of our favourites was her walking down The Old Hall’s beautiful staircase, ready to marry her best friend.

Ceremony in the Orangery

The ceremony took place in the light-filled orangery—one of the most gorgeous indoor settings in Ely. It felt intimate, heartfelt, and full of smiles from start to finish.

Confetti & Drinks Reception

Right after the ceremony, Becky and James were showered in confetti under the flower arch at the front of the hall—an absolute stunner of a moment. Guests then headed to the back terrace for a relaxed drinks reception in the spring sunshine.

Couple Portraits & Lakeside Moments

We took Becky and James for a wander around the grounds for their couple portraits—nothing too staged, just playful, romantic moments. James holding the bouquet was a highlight (and he pulled it off!), and we ended the session by the lake, where he gave Becky a spontaneous twirl like something out of a movie.

Speeches, Cake & Cocktails

Back inside, guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches and the cake cutting before heading into cocktail hour. We grabbed a few stunning golden-hour portraits of the couple sipping cocktails on the terrace, soaking it all in together.

Golden Hour Bridal Party Fun

Golden hour didn’t disappoint. We took the full bridal party out for some fun, relaxed portraits in the fields behind the hall—laughs, hugs, champagne, and all the good stuff.

Golden Hour Couple Shots

Once the bridal party headed back, we kept Becky and James for a few final couple shots. The light was soft and warm, the mood was dreamy, and these portraits are some of our favourites from the entire season.

Evening Party & Sparkler Send-Off

As the sun set, the party truly began—kicked off by an epic ABBA tribute band that had everyone on their feet. Becky changed into a second dress for the evening, and we wrapped the night with a beautiful sparkler exit under the stars.

We absolutely loved working with Andy and Lewis at our wedding at The Old Hall Ely! We are not normally people who like being in front of a camera but the pre-wedding shoot and their fantastic attitude on the day made us feel so confident and let us enjoy every minute.

Through the planning process they were incredibly responsive and helpful and on the day they worked so well with all our other suppliers and the venue team. The photos we have seen so far are stunning and capture our day perfectly.
