A Stylish Monochrome Wedding at Swynford Manor

Demi and Chris’s monochrome wedding at Swynford Manor was the perfect mix of style, fun and personality.

The timeless black and white wedding theme is one of our personal favourites. It’s such a simple idea but always creates a really stylish and modern feel, and Demi and Chris absolutely nailed it. Their day felt effortlessly elegant from start to finish, while still being full of laughter, family moments and a packed dance floor in the evening thanks to the brilliant Rob Lawes Entertainment.

As Swynford Manor wedding photographers, it’s always a pleasure capturing weddings here. The venue offers so many great spaces for the best photography throughout the day, and Demi and Chris made the most of every part of it.

Morning Preparations

The day began with a relaxed and fun morning in the bridal suite at Swynford Manor. Demi spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids and flower girls, and there was no shortage of laughter as everyone soaked up the excitement of the day ahead.

Some of the early moments included lovely detail shots of the couple’s vow books and rings, alongside the bride’s shoes and dress ready for the ceremony. Honestly, the black and white aesthetic works so well for detail shots, especially in a venue like Swynford Manor where the black and white interiors really complement that style.

One of the most fun moments came when Demi jumped onto the bed while her bridesmaids and flower girls watched on laughing in their robes - a perfect example of the relaxed and playful atmosphere throughout the morning.

Meanwhile, Chris spent the morning getting ready with his groomsmen. There were some really nice moments during this part of the day, including Chris helping his son with his bow tie and taking a quiet moment to read a letter from Demi before the ceremony. These kinds of moments always add such a personal touch to the wedding story.

The Ceremony

The ceremony itself was full of emotion and lovely family moments. One of the highlights came when Chris saw Demi walking down the aisle with their children - a moment that brought huge smiles all around (and a few tears as well).

A particularly touching part of the ceremony came when the couple’s daughter read a piece she had written herself. Afterwards, Demi and Chris shared a hug with her, creating a truly heartfelt moment.

Once the ceremony finished, everyone gathered on the grand staircase at Swynford Manor for a brilliant confetti moment. With guests cheering and confetti flying everywhere, it created such a fun and energetic scene - and one of those moments that’s always epic to photograph!

Couple Photos and Wedding Party Fun

After the ceremony, we spent a little time capturing relaxed portraits of Demi and Chris around the venue grounds. The exterior of Swynford Manor worked perfectly with the couple’s black and white wedding styling, creating some really aesthetic images.

The wedding party then gathered for a fun confetti moment outside before everyone headed in for the wedding breakfast.

One of the most memorable parts of the reception was the couple’s entrance into the wedding breakfast. Each guest had a tambourine waiting at their place setting, and as Demi and Chris entered the room the entire space filled with the sound of guests playing along. It created an incredible atmosphere and plenty of fun moments at the top table.

Cocktail Hour and Party Time

Following the wedding breakfast, guests enjoyed cocktail hour with a stylish “his and hers” cocktail bar, which made for some great editorial style portraits of the couple enjoying a drink together at the bar.

As the evening party kicked off, the energy on the dance floor quickly picked up. Demi and Chris made a brilliant entrance for their first dance with guests cheering them on, before confetti cannons filled the room and everyone piled onto the dance floor with them.

From that point on it turned into a proper party, guests singing along, dancing and just having a great time.
