Dibbins Wood Wedding | Jenny & Craig at Deene Park Estate
Nestled in the heart of Northamptonshire, Dibbins Wood is a hidden gem within the sprawling 500-acre Deene Park Estate. Secluded in a 90-acre ancient woodland and surrounded by wildflower meadows, it offers a magical and exclusive backdrop for luxury outdoor weddings. Think golden-hour light filtering through a canopy of trees, rustic oak benches from fallen estate trees, and tipis tucked into a fairy-lit glade.
This was our very first wedding at Dibbins Wood, and we’re honoured to now be one of their recommended photographers. Jenny & Craig’s day was the perfect introduction to this incredible venue – it had everything: laughter, colour, nature, and unforgettable energy.
Bridal Prep at the Cottage
The day kicked off at a nearby cottage, where Jenny got ready with her bridesmaids. Absolute vibes from the start – fun, Prosecco, funky glasses, and loads of laughter.
A favourite moment? A playful group photo of the girls in the bath in their robes with glasses in hand. It set the tone for what would be an epic celebration. Things then shifted to more emotional beats with one of the bridesmaids tearing up before seeing Jenny in her dress. Cue all the feels.
Woodland Ceremony in the Green Chapel
Set deep in the woods behind an old oak tree, the Green Chapel is a naturally formed clearing where Jenny & Craig held their outdoor ceremony. Such a romantic atmosphere.
Guests followed the 'wedding this way' sign into the glade where rustic benches and a handcrafted wooden chapel awaited. Craig and his best man stood waiting with smiles (and a few nerves), and Jenny’s entrance brought a wave of emotion.
We captured it all – Craig's reaction, the emotional aisle walk, the vows under a tree canopy, and the confetti-filled exit.
Drinks Reception: Tipis & Cocktails
Post-ceremony, guests gathered around the fairy-lit tipis nestled in the woods. This wasn’t your average wedding reception. It felt like a forest festival, complete with signature cocktails and relaxed vibes.
Jenny & Craig cocktails in hand, laughing with guests one minute and playing football with the kids the next. Their vision for a fun, easy-going day in nature came to life beautifully.
Bridesmaids & Smoke Grenades
After some mingling, it was time for more fun. Jenny and her bridesmaids embraced the woodland vibes and the drama of smoke grenades. We captured striking shots of the girls walking through the woods, colourful smoke trailing behind.
Jenny nailed the iconic look-back shot while her girls brought the energy and fun.
Couple Portraits in the Meadow
Dibbins Wood is filled with scenic spots, but this open field surrounded by trees gave us some of the best light and backdrops we’ve ever worked with. Jenny & Craig were naturals in front of the camera.
From romantic cuddles to bold dip-kisses and sweeping wide-angle shots of them walking the land – every photo in this section captures the soul of the venue and their connection.
Speeches in the Tipi
Speeches took place in the main tipi, where fairy lights and candles lit the space with a warm, golden glow. It felt intimate, cosy, and totally fitting for the setting.
We got a beautiful shot of Jenny & Craig at the cake table, a detailed photo of the rustic mini cakes, and an aesthetic shot of guests soaking up the speeches.
Golden Hour Magic
Golden hour hit hard, and we made the most of it. Jenny & Craig embraced the golden light as they walked through the woods and fields, sharing spins, kisses, and glances.
A favourite series: Jenny spinning in the sunset with Craig watching. One of those once-in-a-lifetime lighting moments that makes everything feel even more magical.
Wedding Party Shenanigans
We weren't done yet! The whole wedding party joined us for more fun with smoke grenades and some iconic group poses. These shots were loud, joyful, and full of personality – just like the day.
Cake Cutting & First Dance
The tipi became the stage for their cake cutting and first dance. It felt warm, intimate, and full of celebration. The perfect way to close out such a unique and joy-filled day.
What a day!
From a magical woodland ceremony to the golden hour portraits and tipi partying, Jenny & Craig’s wedding at Dibbins Wood was the definition of a dream day. This Deene Park wedding was a perfect blend of rustic charm, personal touches, and modern fun – and we feel so lucky to have been a part of it.
